Privacy Policy
Last updated September 6, 2026
MyRigScore (“MyRigScore,” “RigScore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the MyRigScore website, services, tools, reports, and related features (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. These practices sit alongside the Terms of Use.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Depending on how you use MyRigScore, you may provide information such as:
- Account information, including your name, username, email address, or other account details if account functionality is available.
- DxDiag files that you voluntarily upload for analysis.
- Gaming account or profile information that you choose to connect or provide, including Steam profile information where applicable.
- Information you submit through contact forms, feedback forms, support requests, surveys, or other communications.
- Any other information you voluntarily provide through the Service.
DxDiag files and computer hardware information
A primary feature of MyRigScore is analyzing information contained in Microsoft DirectX Diagnostic Tool (“DxDiag”) files.
When you upload a DxDiag file, it may contain technical information about your computer, including, but not limited to:
- Computer manufacturer and model
- Operating system and system configuration
- Processor/CPU
- Graphics processor/GPU
- System memory/RAM
- Display and monitor information
- Display resolution
- Storage information
- DirectX version
- Drivers and driver versions
- Audio hardware
- Connected or detected devices
- BIOS and motherboard information
- Other hardware, software, diagnostic, and system configuration information included within the DxDiag file
MyRigScore retains uploaded DxDiag files. We retain these files and information derived from them for purposes including providing and improving RigScore reports, maintaining reference material, improving hardware identification and analysis, testing and validating our scoring systems, developing new features, troubleshooting, research, analytics, quality assurance, and improving the accuracy and usefulness of the Service. Do not assume that an uploaded DxDiag file is automatically deleted after a RigScore report is generated.
We do not require users to install MyRigScore software on their computers to submit a DxDiag file. The file is generated using tools available through the user’s operating system and is uploaded by the user to the Service.

MyRigScore is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation or Steam unless expressly stated otherwise. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Analysis
Your RigScore is not generated by artificial intelligence. Scores, category scores, tiers, confidence figures and the bottleneck result are calculated by a fixed rules engine from the hardware we identified, and the same file always produces the same result. AI is used afterwards, and only to write the explanation you read alongside those numbers — it cannot change them.
MyRigScore may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automated systems, algorithms, and third-party technology providers to write reports, recommendations, summaries, comparisons, or other content about a score that has already been calculated.
Where these systems are used, the information sent to them is limited to selected hardware fields extracted from your DxDiag file — such as processor and graphics card names, memory capacity, storage type, and display resolution — together with the calculated score. The DxDiag file itself is never sent to a third-party AI provider, and neither are your BIOS details, system model, driver versions, or Steam ID.
Automated results are estimates and should not be treated as guaranteed measurements of actual computer performance, compatibility, market value, or gaming performance.
4. How Long We Keep Information
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating and improving the Service, maintaining reference material, complying with legal requirements, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing abuse, and maintaining appropriate business records.
Uploaded DxDiag files may be retained for reference, research, testing, analysis, quality assurance, and improvement of the MyRigScore platform and are not necessarily deleted when a report has been generated.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, why it was collected, legal requirements, operational requirements, and whether continued retention is reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes.
Where applicable, users may contact us to request deletion of personal information. Certain information may be retained where permitted or required by law or where necessary for legitimate purposes such as security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or maintaining appropriately de-identified or aggregated information.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling information directly to data brokers for money.

6. Aggregated and De-Identified Information
We may create aggregated, statistical, or de-identified information from information collected through the Service.
For example, we may analyze hardware configurations to understand the prevalence of particular GPUs, CPUs, memory configurations, system specifications, gaming preferences, or performance characteristics.
We may use and disclose aggregated or de-identified information for research, analytics, benchmarking, product development, business purposes, and improvement of MyRigScore, provided that such information is not reasonably intended to identify a particular individual.
7. Affiliate Links and Product Recommendations
MyRigScore may provide recommendations or links to third-party products, retailers, marketplaces, or services.

Third-party websites may independently collect information about you. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy policies and terms, not this Privacy Policy.
9. Public and Shareable RigScore Reports
MyRigScore may allow users to generate links that can be shared with others.
If you create or share a public or shareable RigScore report, information contained in that report may be accessible to anyone who has access to the link and, depending on the Service’s configuration, may potentially be accessible through other means.
You should review the information included in a report before publicly sharing its link.
A shareable report should not be interpreted as making the user’s underlying uploaded DxDiag file publicly downloadable unless MyRigScore expressly provides that functionality.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, or misuse.
However, no website, database, transmission method, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users submit information through the Service at their own risk.
