How it works

Three steps. Nothing runs on your PC.

DxDiag is a report Windows has always been able to write about your hardware. You save it, we read it. No app, no benchmark, no account needed to get your score.

  1. Open DxDiag

    Press Win + R, type dxdiag and press Enter.

  2. Save the report

    When the green bar finishes, click Save All Information. Windows writes a small .txt file.

  3. Drop it in, check it, get your score

    We show you every part we read before scoring, so you can correct anything. Connect Steam if you want game-by-game results.

Questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. DxDiag ships with Windows. Press Win+R, type dxdiag, press Enter, wait for the bar to fill, then click "Save All Information" and upload the .txt it writes.

Is my DxDiag file stored anywhere?

We keep the uploaded file and the hardware profile derived from it so we can generate your report and improve scoring. Full details are on the Privacy page.

Does AI decide my score?

No. The score, the tier and the bottleneck result are calculated by a fixed rules engine from your hardware, so the same file always gives the same result. AI only writes the explanation afterwards, and it cannot change the numbers.

How do I delete my account?

Sign in and open Delete account. That removes the Steam sign-in, your sessions, and every report attached to the account.

What if you get something wrong?

Tell us before we score it. The review screen shows every field we read, marks the ones we inferred or could not find, and lets you edit any of them. If your machine has more than one graphics adapter, you pick which one we score.

Do I have to connect Steam?

No. Steam is optional at every point. Connecting it adds your library and how those games fit this hardware. Without it you still get a full hardware report.

Does it work on a laptop or a handheld?

Yes. Laptops with switchable graphics and handhelds with integrated graphics are both handled, including the difference between real video memory and the system RAM integrated chips borrow — those are not the same thing and we never label them as if they were.

My Windows is not in English.

Not supported yet. DxDiag translates its field names, so a non-English file will be rejected with a clear message rather than half-read. It is on the list.
