Not a shopping list. The single component that is limiting the rest, why it is limiting them, and roughly what changing it buys you.
The trust
We show you what we read before anything is scored, mark the fields we inferred or could not find, and let you edit any of them. If we cannot classify a part, it keeps its exact name and lowers the confidence instead of getting an invented rating.
No. DxDiag ships with Windows. Press Win+R, type dxdiag, press Enter, wait for the bar to fill, then click "Save All Information" and upload the .txt it writes.
We keep the uploaded file and the hardware profile derived from it so we can generate your report and improve scoring. Full details are on the Privacy page.
No. The score, the tier and the bottleneck result are calculated by a fixed rules engine from your hardware, so the same file always gives the same result. AI only writes the explanation afterwards, and it cannot change the numbers.
Sign in and open Delete account. That removes the Steam sign-in, your sessions, and every report attached to the account.
Tell us before we score it. The review screen shows every field we read, marks the ones we inferred or could not find, and lets you edit any of them. If your machine has more than one graphics adapter, you pick which one we score.
No. Steam is optional at every point. Connecting it adds your library and how those games fit this hardware. Without it you still get a full hardware report.
Yes. Laptops with switchable graphics and handhelds with integrated graphics are both handled, including the difference between real video memory and the system RAM integrated chips borrow — those are not the same thing and we never label them as if they were.
Not supported yet. DxDiag translates its field names, so a non-English file will be rejected with a clear message rather than half-read. It is on the list.
